CULTIVATING PARTNERSHIPS:
A TRIP TO PHAETON, HAITI
This week Derek has the privilege of journeying to Phaeton, Haiti with leaders from a church in Northern Illinois. This thriving partnership has yielded purified drinking water for a community of over 2,000 Haitians. Before clean drinking water was available through the local church, residents had to walk 2 kilometers for water. Future plans for this partnership include developing animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture. These programs will not only provide vital resources to the community but also provide jobs for it's residents.
All of this is done through partnerships in an effort to further glorify the name of God. Please join us in prayer that God would bless this partnership and guide our actions.
Our kids are really enjoying being back. When we walked into our apartment after arriving in the Dominican last week, Macy took a deep breath and said, "This is my home." The transition is going very well and we are already starting to feel settled.
One of the things I have enjoyed about being back is seeing our kids re-unite with their friends. The picture above shows Macy getting a makeover from a couple girls on our street. Our prayer is that God also uses our children to spread the good news of his redeeming love.
